Sabalo 7 Access Road and Wellsite Preparation
In 2005, Serpetbol was awarded the contract to build the access road and prepare the wellsite for well Sabalo 7. This was the most dangerous project I worked on throughout my career. The last 700 m of the access road was built into the mountainside, 70 m above the valley floor. Within a month of accepting the position of General Manager, an excavator fell from the mountainside. The operator died as a result of the accident.
